Follow these steps to learn how to make excerpts show up on your blogs.
1. Click 'Posts'.
2. Choose the post you want to make edits to and click 'Edit'.
3. Make sure you have the ‘Excerpt’ element toggled on in your view settings. Click ‘Screen Elements’. Click the box beside ‘Excerpt’ to toggle it on.
You will now have the Excerpt block visible and may add your Excerpt.
Once you add your excerpt, it will display on the frontend of your site. The excerpt will replace the text under the blog title before the main content.
NOTE: If you don't fill in the excerpt, the system will automatically use the first few lines from your article. The excerpt can only have up to 55 words, so it's best to keep it concise and appealing.
